TNR - Trap-Neuter-Return

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a humane and effective way to help manage community cat populations. Through TNR, cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, ear notched, and then returned to the area they came from where they are able to live out their lives without continuing to reproduce. TNR helps reduce the number of homeless kittens born each year, decreases fighting and mating behaviors, improves the overall health of community cats, and helps prevent overcrowding in shelters. It is one of the most compassionate and successful ways to help both cats and the communities they live in.
